The University of Redlands, a private liberal arts and professional university in Southern California, is partnering with Riverside Community College (RCC) to create guided pathways to undergraduate and graduate programs for Riverside students and benefit-eligible employees.

The partnership establishes a seamless pathway for qualified RCC business students to transfer into U of R’s School of Business and pursue a bachelor in science degree at the Riverside campus. Students who complete the bachelor’s degree can then enroll into U of R’s MBA program.

“Our mission is to provide a student-centered education by creating pathways for student success,” said Thomas Horan, dean of the School of Business at the University of Redlands. “Some of those pathways are for our traditional students, and others are for non-traditional students and working professionals who juggle multiple priorities while pursuing their education. This partnership with Riverside Community College is exciting because it is an opportunity for both types of students to realize their education goals.”

The agreement also provides a tuition discount for qualifying RCC students who transfer into the bachelor degree program at the U of R School of Business Riverside campus. RCC employees, spouses, and domestic partners will also receive a tuition discount on all School of Business programs offered at the Riverside campus.

“This agreement reinforces the strong partnership between Riverside City College and University of Redlands.  It also builds upon our shared commitment to provide seamless pathways to our students to further their education” said Dr. Gregory Anderson, president of Riverside City College. “Additionally, this agreement recognizes excellence, as both of our institutions have earned accreditation by the Accrediting Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).”

In addition to this new agreement with Riverside Community College, the University of Redlands has partnerships with more than 400 organizations — including community colleges, public agencies including law enforcement and city government, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The programs use a cohort-based approach with numerous options for graduate students and innovative pathways for undergraduate students.
