MORENO VALLEY>> The Moreno Valley Public Library Veterans Resource Center is currently looking for volunteers to help military personnel find the support and information they need. Local veterans need help with locating the benefits and services available to them. Volunteers will help both veterans and their families learn about the state and federal benefits they are entitled to. All Volunteers will be provided with printed materials and technology needed to assist veterans and their families with navigating MyCalVet. As stated by the CalVet website, MyCalVet, which is offered through the Department of California Veterans Affairs, connects veterans to whatever state offered benefits they might be entitled to. Volunteers are needed to help veterans and families of veterans learn the ins and outs of the website. Those interested in volunteering must have the following skills: customer service, multi-tasking, networking, veteran care, relationship building, and data entry. If you are a veteran and interested in volunteering at our Veterans Resource Center or if you would like to talk to a VRC volunteer, please contact the volunteer coordinator at 951-413-3898.
