The City of Moreno Valley has earned the 2026 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) Award from the National Procurement Institute, marking the ninth consecutive year the City has received the prestigious national recognition.
“Our Purchasing & Sustainability team is the best of the best,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “They continue to strengthen the City’s procurement processes and make sure we’re getting the most from every public dollar. Being recognized for nine consecutive years is proof of their commitment to excellence.”
The AEP Award recognizes public and nonprofit organizations that demonstrate excellence in procurement through innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership, and e-procurement. The competitive award process challenges agencies to demonstrate achievements and innovative approaches that go beyond minimum requirements.
Earning the award for nine consecutive years demonstrates Moreno Valley’s sustained record of effective procurement management and its ability to meet standards that exceed basic requirements. The recognition also places the City among public agencies nationwide that demonstrate excellence in the procurement profession.
