On Feb. 11, at approximately 10 a.m. a hazardous materials incident occurred east of Moreno Valley Fire Station 2's parking lot located at 24935 Hemlock in Moreno Valley.
Two plastic containers were discovered and filled with an unknown dark liquid. After an evaluation of the liquid by the hazardous materials unit of the Riverside County Fire Department, it was determined to be a static and non-life threatening situation.
The approximately 6 gallons of liquid in the containers was determined to be cooking oil that someone had illegally dumped.
