On Saturday, Sept. 20, in the Stoneridge Towne Centre Richard L. F. Archer Sr. hosted a Vanguard Outdoor Art Expo.
Local artists were invited to set up in an area right outside Archer's Art Gallery to showcase their Art pieces.
The first artist to set up for the day was Jeni Bate. This Southern California resident of over twenty-five years has a specific interest in painting the sky. Her set of pieces she showcased were called "Skyscapes for the Soul".
She stated, "The aim of my artwork is to create joy and relaxation in our world of stress."
The Vanguard Art Gallery features many different artists like Michael Bibbs, Richard Archer who is the owner of the gallery, and even paintings that children have done from local elementary schools.
The Vanguard Art Gallery's next major event will be Oct. 11 where local artists will gather at the Stoneridge Towne Centre for a special event: Dia De Los Muertos Exhibition.
