“Goatee.” How many fifth-graders even know what a goatee is, let alone how the word is spelled?
We know of one for sure: fifth-grader Rachel Milner from Butterfield Elementary who spelled it correctly and landed herself in the district spelling bee championship.
Next up for Rachel is the county spelling bee on March 4.
