Grandparents of Seneca Elementary School students were welcomed to school with juice, donuts and a photo booth on Monday in honor of Grandparents’ Day.

The school’s students then had the opportunity to show off their classrooms so the grandparents could see how Project Moving Forward, a school-wide vocabulary program, is helping Seneca Elementary School close the achievement gap. Seneca Elementary is a Project Moving Forward Demonstration School.

The students and grandparents learned and worked together as part of the program that targets language and literacy development.
