Alessandro Boulevard is one of Moreno Valley's most heavily traveled routes, serving both commuters and businesses. The Transportation Engineering Division of the Public Works Department recently completed deployment of new synchronized timing for Alessandro Boulevard from Old 215 to Kitching Street. This upgrade comes just in time to provide some relief for Cactus Avenue, which is currently under construction at Elsworth Avenue. The timing has been optimized for 45 mph and favors westbound traffic in the morning and eastbound traffic in the afternoon, although both directions will experience better performance at all times of day. All drivers are encouraged to drive Alessandro Boulevard especially while work continues on the Cactus Avenue widening project this month.
