The Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department hosts YouthFest for youth to learn more about their community services in Moreno Valley.
Attracting thousands every year, including residents from other cities, YouthFest is the second largest free annual event in the area, Fourth of July being the first.
In order to present youth services offered to them, the community event will feature information booths, a Police K-9 demo, and public safety vehicle displays.
Also provided for entertainment will be food vendors, face painting, a balloon artist and music. Youth can enjoy this event held at the Community Park on Saturday Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Moreno Valley Morning Optimist Club donated $1,000 to Youthfest in 2013, and seeks to “support [youth] in education, support them on projects, support and encourage them to do better,” said Oscar Valdepeña, member of the club and president of the Moreno Valley Chamber. “The goal and mission of the Optimist club is to help youth in our local area to be successful, to let them know that people care.”
