The Polar Express made a stop at Ridge Crest Elementary last night for an evening of reading, crafts and fun. Principal Diana Emanuel kicked off the holiday-themed event with a reading to kindergartners of “Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg.
More than 300 students, parents and staff took part in this successful first annual Literacy Night, supported by Title I funds. The event helps fulfill one of the district Strategic Plan commitments: “Use fiscal, human and instructional resources in targeted and purposeful ways to ensure the success of all students.”
