Moreno Valley>> Fire Marshal Adria Reinertson was recently honored with the Mary Eriksen-Rattan Award, an award with high regard.
Reinertson is one of the first female fire marshals in the country and was honored with the Eriksen-Ratten, awarded for demonstrating great technical ability, judgement and commitment.
The prestigious honor is named after Mary Eriksen-Rattan, one of the first female fire marshals in the country. Mary Eriksen-Rattan had a distinguished career in the fire service. She wrote extensively on fire code development, including hazardous materials issues.
The honor given to City Fire Marshal Reinertson was made even more special by the fact that the award is only given when a person meeting the specific criteria is identified. There have only been six other recipients since 2006.
"Fire Marshal Reinertson’s continued contributions and knowledge of the state fire code make her a valuable asset to the city’s first responders, residents, businesses and employees," a news release states.
