MORENO VALLEY>> The City of Moreno Valley will host the annual YouthFest event Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Park, located at 13380 Frederick Street. The event that started more than 20 years ago is a free event and showcases youth-oriented businesses and services. The program will feature a Police K-9 demonstration, public safety vehicle displays, face painting, a balloon artist, a petting zoo and representatives from local youth organizations and agencies. Rudy Rodriguez, Recreation Program Coordinator for the Parks and Community Services for the City of Moreno Valley, said the event is a great family opportunity to visit the park and enjoy a variety of informational booths, food vendors and entertainment. He said he expects to see 3,000 people and invites the community to be a part of the fun. "YouthFest offers residents key information about safety, health and wellness, special needs, education, financial and college planning and other important family related topics," Rodriguez said. "Our goal is to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions for their children by providing easy access to the best local services in Moreno Valley." [END]
