As 2022 is here, it's a good time to look back on Moreno Valley's accomplishments over the last year.

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,  It’s no surprise that 2021 was an incredible year for Moreno Valley.  In my last message, I mentioned the ways we made the past year memorable through our We’ve Got You Covered program, our MoVal Rental Rescue program, and the opening of our state-of-the-art Civic Center Amphitheater.  This time, I want to break down just how much we accomplished in the past year.  Our incredible Public Works Department filled nearly 5,000 potholes last year alone. That’s an average of about 500 potholes filled per month! The City also striped 116 miles of roadway and swept over 16,000 miles of City curbs, with an average of 1,500 miles per month.  These astounding numbers illustrate just how hard we work to ensure Moreno Valley stays beautiful.  And we’re not alone. Thousands of your fellow community members turned out for our quarterly Beautify MoVal Community Days of Service to maintain the beauty of our Moreno Valley parks. I love these events because they genuinely exemplify the power of community. Our Business and Employment Resource Center (BERC) helped over 16,000 job seekers on the right path to their new careers. That’s 1,500 people served per month! But we’re just getting started. We’re hitting the ground running and making sure 2022 will be an even better year for our great City.  Andrew Carnegie once said, “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” I am so excited to work with you toward our common vision of ensuring Moreno Valley remains the finest City in the Inland Empire, a place where all our dreams continue to soar.  For more local news and information click here.
