Another Moreno Valley Unified School District leader is taking on a statewide education leadership position.
The district's Chief Academic Officer Dr. Martinrex Kedziora has recently been appointed president of the California League of Middle Schools (CLMS) and will serve the two remaining years of the term vacated by his predecessor.
California League of Schools, the umbrella organization that includes CLMS, supports the professional development of California’s TK-12 educators in an effort to improve learning for all students.
Kedziora joins MVUSD School Board Clerk Jesús M. Holguín and Superintendent Dr. Judy D. White in leading important California education organizations. Holguín currently serves as president of the California School Boards Association (CSBA), representing almost 1,000 school district governing bodies; White is president of the California Association of African-American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA).
“Moreno Valley Unified School District has become well-known across California, both for our student academic achievement and the statewide leadership of our exceptionally talented and well-regarded staff and Board members,” said School Board President Gary E. Baugh.
“It’s impossible to attend any statewide education conference and not hear the name, ‘Moreno Valley Unified,’ over and over again. Our school district and community are now clearly on the map in a very positive way.”
