The Moreno Valley Master Chorale and Chamber Orchestra will present a concert of Easter lenten music on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 11650 Perris Blvd., Moreno Valley, CA 92557.
This concert, directed by Dr. Viorel Gheorghe, will feature soloist Camelia Voin, an acclaimed lyric coloratura soprano who has performed throughout the United States and abroad as an operatic, oratorio, and recital soloist. She has appeared in recitals and opera productions on some of the world’s most important stages, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, and the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest. She will be joining the Chorale while singing the solos in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater; Cesar Franck’s Panis Angelicus; and the beautiful Bist du bei mir by Stölzel - Bach, as arranged by Dr. Gheorghe for orchestra.
In addition to the above numbers, the Chorale will also perform Mozart’s Laudate Dominum; Elgar’s Ave Verum Corpus; and M. Haydn’s Vinea Mea and Benedictus. The Chorale will be accompanied by renowned violinists Todor Pelev and Zlata Grekov in addition to cellist Ana Maria Maldonado, organist Jonathan Keplinger, and other members of the chamber orchestra.
Tickets (cash only) will be available at the door and are priced as follows: adults $15.00; seniors, students, and children over 5 years, $10.00.
