MORENO VALLEY>> Many Moreno Valley Unified School District students, staff and parents were proud to hear the names of their high schools and their school district said over and over again at the recent Seal of Multiliteracy event hosted by the Riverside County Office of Education.
More than half of the nearly 150 Riverside County students honored for their mastery of more than one language hail from MVUSD schools and 25 of them are from Vista del Lago High School alone.
Only 15 high schools in Riverside County had students who earned the Seal of Multiliteracy and of those high schools, four are from MVUSD.
In addition to English, the 75 MVUSD linguists are fluent in either Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Tagalog or French. One student from Canyon Springs High School at MVUSD was the only student who is fluent in two other languages.
