An important part of the dual-language immersion program at Armada, Butterfield and Sunnymead elementary schools is appreciation for other cultures. So Armada second-graders were lucky to host Canyon Springs senior Sama Al Rashid recently for a lesson on the cultures of India and Pakistan. Her presentation included information on history, geography, culture characteristics, food, clothing, and language. She used the interactive Smartboard to teach students a little about reading, writing and speaking in Urdu.
