Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez has open office hours scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29 to increase and encourage individual face-to-face meetings with residents and other community stakeholders. Dr. Yxstian A. Gutierrez was appointed to the Moreno Valley City Council on Sept. 24, 2013 and has been serving the community ever since. Gutierrez has been committed to sustainable job growth in Moreno Valley through a stimulated economic development program that brings employment opportunities and revenues to maintain a solvent city budget. He also understands the importance of supporting public safety resources to maintain a safe and growing community. Gutierrez founded and expanded an innovative arts and music program for children enrolled in an after-school program. Additionally, he has proposed the Emerging Leaders Council which identifies Moreno Valley college students between the ages of 18 – 25 who have strong leadership skills and aspirations to become community leaders. Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Gutierrez will be available on the last Thursday of each month on a first come, first served basis from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in his office at City Hall. Meeting time allotments will be in increments of 10 to 15 minutes. These meeting hours are in addition to his availability by appointment.
