It doesn’t get more hands-on than helping install solar panels on houses, which is just what seven CSHS students did recently at the Solar Futures project sponsored by Grid Alternatives and SunPower. They acted as apprentices in solar-panel installation for four houses built by Habitat for Humanity. They also learned about solar-related career opportunities. And the hours spent working count as community volunteer hours that they can use for college and job applications.
