Solaris Paper, a United States based manufacturer of premium quality kitchen, bath, and facial tissue, has selected a Moreno Valley site to position the company for growth and greater efficiency. Solaris Paper joins numerous Fortune 500 and international companies that have created more than 14,000 new Moreno Valley jobs over the past four years.
Solaris Paper produces away-from-home and at-home consumer tissue products sourced from sustainably managed forests. The company’s major branded retail products include Fiora®, retailers’ private label brands, and Away-From-Home brands Livi® and LoCor®. The company will occupy the flagship, LEED Certified 862,000 square foot facility to be constructed at Prologis Park Moreno Valley Eucalyptus, near the south side of State Route 60 between Moreno Beach Drive and Redlands Boulevard.
Moreno Valley Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez expressed enthusiasm for the company’s decision. “We are thrilled to welcome Solaris Paper to Moreno Valley,’ said Mayor Gutierrez. “Solaris is an industry leader in supplying kitchen towels, bath, and facial tissue. We have great respect for Solaris Paper’s commitment to responsibly-managed paper sourcing, sustainable manufacturing operations, and employment of local talent.”
James Rice, Solaris Paper’s Chief Executive Officer, supports the move, which allows for operational consolidation within proximity to several large customers, major cargo ports, transportation routes, and wonderful quality of life for the Solaris team. “This is a win-win for us as we hope to not only transfer our entire existing workforce but offer new job opportunities to those already within the Moreno Valley area as well,” said Mr. Rice.
Moreno Valley has established itself as a global hub for logistics and is a leader at the forefront of tomorrow’s economy.
