School Employees Receive Surprise

MORENO VALLEY>> Within the county of Moreno Valley are 23 school districts, with more than 500 public schools. There are nearly 17,000 teachers and more than 16,000 non-teaching employees serving students in Moreno Valley's education system. On Wednesday Feb. 24, 2017, of all the staffers who serve the many children who attend the school district of Moreno Valley, Phillip Peeples, Moreno Valley Online Academy (MVOA) counselor, and Dwight Taylor, Badger Springs Middle School campus supervisor, were recognized for their efforts and hard work. Each person had received a personal surprise visit from Riverside County Superintendent Dr. Judy D. White as they were honored as Riverside County school employees of the year. Peeples was awarded Counselor of the Year, and Taylor was selected as Classified Employee of the Year.
