Riverside County Regional Medical Center recently gave a tour to 24 freshmen members of the Canyon Springs Health Careers Academy. The tour of the facility included a surgery observation and lectures from a pediatrician, pharmacist, registered diagnostic medical sonographer, RN Rapid Response team leader and a physical therapist. Students were exposed to an incredible amount of academic terms, such as pathology, melatonin, dispensing, tomography, modality, magnetic resonance imaging, radiation, catheterization, angioplasty, non-invasive, ultrasound, occlusion, mammography, defibrillation, profusion, decompensate, and much more.
