Police Department Hosting Community Oriented Policing Zone Meeting

The goal of zone policing is to advance the practice of community oriented policing by improving relationships between officers and community members.

Moreno Valley Police Department officers are hosting a Community Oriented Policing Zone meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 27 to provide an opportunity for all community members to meet with police officers to discuss community issues and build relationships. The meeting will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at TownGate Community Center, located at 13100 Arbor Park Lane, Moreno Valley, 92553. While all community members are invited to attend, the focus of discussion will be issues specific to Zone 2. The Moreno Valley Police Department shares that they are committed to enhancing the delivery of quality service. The Department's goal at the meeting is to educate residents about community-oriented policing and how officers and the community can work together in creating and maintaining safer neighborhoods. This meeting will give residents an opportunity to express their concerns and, meet the Chief of Police and Zone 2 officers who patrol their neighborhoods. The principles and practices of community oriented policing, or zone policing, is used in all areas served by the Moreno Valley Police Department.
