The public is invited to join Elegant Events by Carl and Moreno Valley’s Family Is All That Matters (F.I.A.T.M) for a hip-hop family affair.
On July 27, hip-hop dancers will bust their moves and compete for a $1,000 grand prize during the first annual hip-hop competition and fashion show event.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ontario Embassy Suites located at 3663 East Guasti Rd. in Ontario.
The event will feature special guest hip-hop artist Jay Show, a special performance by Aldre, and Tommy the Clown will appear as a guest judge.
The event will also feature two separate fashion shows featuring men’s and women’s urban wear, along with food, music and other vendors.
A $300 scholarship will be given in a best essay-writing contest for children aged 6 to 12.
Proceeds from the event will benefit F.I.A.T.M., said F.I.A.T.M. Executive Chair Melinda Metoyer.
F.I.A.T.M. is a local non-profit organization that aims to assist at-risk youth in making positive life choices, with the mission to strengthen local communities by concentrating on individual progress.
Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door.
For tickets, contact Elegant Events by Carl at 951-710-3289, email ElegantEventsByCarl@yahoo.com or visit eleganteventsbycarl.com.
