There’s something about the back-to-school season that brings a renewed sense of possibility to our City. New notebooks, sharpened pencils, fresh sneakers, and a whole new chapter waiting to be written.    As our students head back into the classroom, I want to remind them of this simple truth: you are capable of more than you know! Each day is a chance to discover, to grow, and to take bold steps toward your dreams. Whether you're starting kindergarten, your final year of high school, or entering college as a young adult, this is your season to rise.    To our teachers, thank you for being the steady, guiding presence that makes education come alive. You don’t just teach lessons, you spark ideas, open minds, and shape futures. Moreno Valley is stronger because of your commitment, and we owe you our deepest gratitude.    And to the parents and caregivers who balance checklists, emotions, and early wake-up calls: Thank you! Your support is what keeps our students moving forward with confidence and care.    This school year, let’s show up for one another. Let’s be the community that cheers from the sidelines, offers a helping hand, and believes in the potential of each and every child.    Wishing all our families a school year filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories. Let’s make this one unforgettable.
