Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
Fall is here, and as the leaves change and temperatures get a little cooler, it’s time for our beloved Day of the Dead event.
Day of the Dead, or Dia de Los Muertos, is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the memories of our dearly departed loved ones. We honor them with music, food, and the building of unique altars that memorialize their lives.
We decorate these altars with beautiful marigolds that serve as a pathway for our departed friends and family members to return from the spirit world into the world of the living, if only for one night.
It’s no secret that Moreno Valley celebrates the Day of the Dead like no other. Our Civic Center Amphitheater will be transformed for an evening of live music, ballet folklórico dancers, games, food vendors, face painting, and dozens of beautiful altars honoring loved ones from Moreno Valley and beyond.
Join us on Friday, October 28, from 6 pm to 10 pm for an evening to remember!
The Civic Center Amphitheater is located at 14075 Frederick Street, next to the Conference & Recreation Center. Find out more by visiting moval.org/dayofthedead.
Let’s celebrate together!
