Once a Cheetah, always a Cheetah. The generous Chaparral Hills Elementary community does not forget their own. Recently, they came together in a big show of support for Jadyn Skorpanich, daughter of former Chaparral Hills principal Kirk Skorpanich, who’s been busy beating cancer. Students and staff, having formed Team Jadyn for the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life fundraiser, took a ceremonial lap around the school’s quad to demonstrate their support both for cancer research and for Jadyn and her family. Team Jadyn, hoping to raise $750 for Relay for Life, ended up generously donating $1,828 – more than double what they hoped. That’s a lot of money. But the support they showed the Skorpanich family was priceless.
