Matteson Honored as Educator of Excellence

Vista Heights Middle School Social Studies department's Kathryn Matteson was recently honored as an Educator of Excellence by the Inland Empire Council for the Social Studies. In his nominating statement for her, Principal Mark Hasson stated that, “Her masterful organization of content and learning objectives, direct instruction, partnered and group activities, and constant use of academic language provide a gradual release of responsibility from teacher to student.” Congratulations, Kathryn!
