When school lets out this year, school lunches will continue at three Moreno Valley parks, all summer long, for free.
Moreno Valley Unified Nutrition Services will provide free BBQ lunches for those age 18 and under, Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 16 – August 8 at Weston, Celebration, and TownGate parks. Lunch will not be served on July 4.
“When children come back to us in August for school, we want them to be well-nourished and ready to learn,” explained Nutrition Services Director Carla Lyder.
Summer lunches, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Seamless Summer” program, will be provided at the following locations:
Weston Park – 13170 Lasselle St.
Celebration Park – 14965 Morgan Ave.
TownGate Park – 13051 Elsworth St.
