Butterfield Elementary Student Leaders Serve Seniors Some Holiday Cheer

The fourth- and fifth-grade Bobcat Council Student Leadership Club at Butterfield Elementary set out on a walking field trip recently to serve a holiday meal to more than 80 senior citizens at the Moreno Valley Senior Center.
In addition to serving lunch, this community-service project included decorating for the event and singing some familiar holiday songs, which were greatly appreciated.
The students came bearing gifts of staff-donated socks and student-made holiday cards. Needless to say, the field trip was a wonderful success for everyone involved. Great work, Bobcats!
