Mayor's Message: We've Got You Covered

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,

It is a good sign that demand for vaccination appointments is high in our community. Still, even as more eligible residents are getting vaccinated and coronavirus cases and hospitalizations are continuing to decline, it is important we continue to take proper precautions, including masks and sanitizer.

Our “We’ve Got You Covered” initiative continues to distribute free masks and sanitizer at all three library branches and at the Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC). As of this week, more than 205,000 masks and 320,000 sanitizer units have been distributed, thanks in large part to local businesses who have stepped up and generously contributed.

There is a growing optimism in our community as we each wait for our turn to get vaccinated. We can look forward to reopening our schools and engaging with our businesses and one another again soon, so long as we continue to protect one another and ourselves. Along with physical distancing and handwashing, please continue to wear a mask and sanitize.

If you’re running low, there is no need to go without. We’ve Got You Covered.
