Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
On behalf of the City Council and our dedicated City employees, I offer a heartfelt wish for a Happy Thanksgiving for all Moreno Valley residents, but especially for those in our community who have lost a loved one to the virus this year. It’s been a very difficult year for all of us, but especially for you.
I want you to know that we, your neighbors, have not forgotten your pain, and we wish you the very best, now and throughout the holiday season, when your loved-one’s absence is so especially keenly felt.
I know we’ve all heard it before, but please avoid gatherings this year. Please stay home as much as possible, and always wear a mask when you have to go out. Please remember to keep distanced from others, and wash your hands regularly.
We cannot pretend that the virus can’t find us. It can, and it plays no favorites. As your Mayor, and simply as your neighbor, I ask that we all try to look out for one another by slowing the spread.
I’m optimistic that the new year will see us gain the upper hand against this virus. Let’s get to that place together, as one caring community, thankful for those we have with us, and for those who will live on forever in our memories.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
