Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
As you may know, throughout the stay-at-home order, our City government has remained operational. Although public access to City facilities has been restricted to slow the spread of coronavirus, our employees have continued to deliver the important City services our residents depend on. That includes repairs and improvements to the 505 miles of City roadways.
In the past year, repair crews have filled almost 10,000 potholes. To put that in perspective, assuming an average pothole needs about a cubic foot of asphalt, those repaired potholes would stack all the way up to the M on Box Springs Mountain – three times over! And crews have repaired and improved close to 30 miles of City roadways – about the total driving distance from Moreno Valley to Rancho Cucamonga.
As Mayor, I’m proud of how we continue to find safe ways around the virus to keep our City moving forward.
