Our counselors are crucial in helping our students prepare for college and careers. As part of their commitment to our students, 21 MVUSD counselors and two Assistant Principals of Guidance, a guidance assistant, and Student Services Coordinator Patty Rucker attended the RCOE Counselor Leadership Network Meeting on Tuesday at the Riverside Convention Center.

All four high schools had representatives and Moreno Valley High School had their entire guidance team attend. Badger Springs Middle School, Mountain View MIddle School, Sunnymead Middle School and several elementary school counselors also attended.

Attendees heard from keynote speaker Jaime Casap, an Education Evangelist from Google, along with various breakout sessions on topics of College and Career, AP Awareness, Funding for College, Creating Safe and Supportive Spaces.
