LA Fitness Holds Grand Opening

Moreno Valley residents will no longer have to travel further than the 60 Freeway and Nason St. to go to the gym. After six months of hard work, LA Fitness has finally opened the doors to their newest location. While the gym has been open to the public since Sunday, June 7, their grand opening wasn’t until this past Saturday, July 27. To kick off this big reveal, staff members gathered in front of the gym as they waited anxiously to cut the ceremonial red ribbon, signaling the start of a new business venture. The grand opening boasted a DJ from local radio station 99.1 KGGI, food, WSS Shoes, Bob’s Big Boy and even a small Thomas-the-Tank-Engine ride for the kids. Community members were eager to take advantage of the grand opening specials, which offered not only an iPad giveaway, but also free enrollment with additional family members to a current membership. With brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities, cardio and strength equipment, a lap pool and much more, there are plenty of activities to fit anyone’s workout needs. And for parents with small children, this location offers a “Kids Klub.” Club Manager Larry Wright explained that the concept for this new LA Fitness branch had a lot to do with its location. “We decided to open on this side of town so we could actually cater to everyone’s fitness and wellness needs. Most other fitness places are on the other side of the town. Since the city’s growing east that’s why we decided to open up over here and be a staple in the community,” said Wright.
