During the Thanksgiving holiday, staff and students from Moreno Valley Unified School District came together to help support the hungry and homeless.
An event, led by Wellness Coordinator Connie Edwards of the Student Services Department, helped organize a holiday meal giveaway that provided turkey dinners for 200 families in need.
Tim McGillivray, public information officer for MVUSD, said they were supported by MVUSD Nutrition Services, Parent Ambassadors and Valley View High School student
volunteers.
"They don’t really go looking for publicity for their good deeds, but here’s just one example of MVUSD serving the broader community," McGillivray said. "And thanks to Provident Bank, Kaiser Medical, the Mormon Church and Food 4 Less for their generous contributions."
