Tha Juke Joint Radio Show, in association with The Place4Grace, has set a goal of providing at least 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need during a backpack giveaway set for Saturday, Aug. 17. Tha Juke Joint Radio Show and The Place4Grace have partnered with Sunnymead Middle School to help students who might not otherwise receive necessary school supplies in this upcoming school year. According to the School Accountability Report Card published for the Sunnymead Middle School for the 2012–2013 school year, 83.5 percent of children enrolled are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The giveaway will take place at the Universal Strike Fun Center, at 23750 Alessandro Blvd. Unit K, in Moreno Valley from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who are interested in sponsoring or volunteering may email info@thajukejoint.org
