Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce Announces 2016 Citizen of the Year

The Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce announced its 2016 Citizen of the Year, Brigadier General Russell A. Muncy at its monthly Wake-Up Moreno Valley meeting. General Muncy will have the honor of being recognized on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Chamber's Annual Installation and Awards Banquet. General Muncy, 452nd Air Mobility Wing Commander, March Air Reserve Base is charged with the oversight of the 2nd largest employer in Riverside County. With an employment base of 7,000 people, March ARB also serves 50,000 retirees, spouses and survivors and has close to a $550 million annual economic impact in our region. Being the Commander of such a large and important institution is no easy task. Yet, General Muncy does this and remains very activite in our community, seemingly effortless. General Muncy has bought a home and lives in Moreno Valley. He is more visible and active in community issues and events than any previous Commander. In addition to government meetings and veterans related functions, he also attends Chamber events, service clubs, schools and youth events.
