For the fourth year in a row, Moreno Valley Unified School District students made a strong showing down at the CUE (Computer-Using Educators) Conference, an annual educational technology summit in Palm Springs. Palm Middle School sent five students, who wowed attendees with their tech savvy: eighth-grader Jeanette Meza, digital art and graphic design; sixth-grader Pamela Herrera, robotics; seventh-grader Kimberly Marquez, Android mobile app development; and eighth-grader Eli Martinez and seventh-grader Andres Torres, web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students’ participation in CUE is made possible through the dedication and expertise of a small team of adults: Gayle DiCarlantonio, Joanne Katona, Craig Carignan, Haidee Slack (parent), David Coopersmith, Assistant Principal Pedro Gutierrez, and district Information Systems Director Aaron Barnett.
