Moreno Valley police are still searching for a Moreno Valley man two weeks after he went missing. On Jan. 6, Moreno Valley patrol officers investigated a report of a missing person: Ricardo Nava-Alamo. Nava-Alamo is 63 years old and suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia. He is described as a 5',10" Hispanic man with gray hair, brown eyes and a gray mustache, weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater over a V-neck, purple sweater with black stripes, blue jeans and white shoes. He has been a resident of Moreno Valley for the past four months. Although the victim has not driven a vehicle for the past three years, he was able to gain access to his wife's vehicle and drive away from their residence on the 24000 block of Cottonwood Avenue in a purple four-door 1997 Honda Accord, license plate number 3TUE345. The Moreno Valley Police Department detective bureau has been investigating this case and has been in constant communication and working closely with the family. Over the weekend, police volunteers, patrol officers, detectives and the Sheriff's aviation unit have been searching the city and remote areas for the victim and/or his vehicle. Flyers of the victim have been distributed to hospitals, motels, fast food locations and all outlying police and sheriff departments. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to contact the Moreno Valley Police Department at 951-247-8700.
