The Moreno Valley Police Department is currently accepting applications for the station’s volunteer program. Volunteers augment the service the Police Department provides residents of Moreno Valley.

Volunteers conduct Citizen Patrols, assist the Police Department’s Business Office, and help with major incidents. Volunteers also provide perimeter security, road closures, search and rescue, and monitor the City-Wide Camera System.

In order to volunteer with the Police Department, you must be at least 18 years old, undergo a background check, and be willing to donate a minimum of 12 hours a month.

Volunteer applications can be picked up at the front desk of the Moreno Valley Police Department or online at: http://www.moreno-valley.ca.us/city_hall/departments/police/pdfs/VolApp1216.pdf

Call Deputy Willner at 951.486-6720 or email him at jwillner@riversidesheriff.org for more information about the Police Department’s volunteer program.
