Artists, Performers Sought For Moreno Valley ArtoberFest

MORENO VALLEY>> The Moreno Valley Arts Commission is seeking applications from performers and artists to participate in the city’s ninth annual ArtoberFest. The cultural arts event set for Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is at no cost and will be located at the Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street. There are opportunities for local artists and performers to showcase their talents at the event. For the exhibit, booth spaces are available for $35. City of Moreno Valley business license and an exhibit application are required for artists who plan to sell CDs, artwork, jewelry, crafts, etc. For those interested in performing at the Artoberfest, applications must be submitted and received by Sept. 28. Entertainment at the fest includes painting demonstrations, poetry readings and performances from singers, dancers and musicians. Along with the festivities will include food, a bike rodeo and pet adoptions. Families, friends, and the community are invited to attend the family-oriented event of celebrating the arts. Artists and performers may obtain more information and applications from the city’s website or call the Parks & Community Services Department at (951)413-3280.
