The City of Moreno Valley has recently announced that 2nd and 4th Friday office hours are back. City Hall office hours were reduced in 2009 to alleviate a significant budget deficit. The City shared that while the impacts of the Great Recession can still be felt in Moreno Valley, signs of economic recovery are slowly emerging. As of July 8th, City Hall offers extended customer service hours. Walk-ins will be accepted until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and until 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. Also, Monday through Thursday hours have been extended to be from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Effective July 12, Friday service hours will resume on the 2nd and 4th Fridays for the following Development Service offices: Building & Safety, Code Compliance, Fire Prevention, Land Development, Planning, and Transportation. In related news, effective last Saturday, July 6, the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter is open every weekend day (all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) to make it easier to adopt and reclaim pets. The Animal Shelter’s new operating hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and until 5:00 p.m. on weekends. The animal shelter will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
