Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarships

Through the Most Valuable Student scholarship program, since 1931, the Elks National Foundation has helped thousands of students in need of financial assistance to fulfill their dreams of attending college. MVS scholars are students who are at or near the top of their class, active in their schools and communities and recognized as leaders by their peers. HOW TO APPLY: Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply for an MVS scholarship. Application will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. APPLICATIONS: Available Sept. 2014 by visiting www.elks.org/enf/scholars to download an application or by contacting your local Elks or by asking your high school guidance counselor or your high school career technician. DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by Dec. 5 to the Elks Lodge closest to the student’s permanent U.S. residence. The selection of winners begins at the local lodge level and continues through district, state and national judging. VOCATIONAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS Vocational grants are for technical and vocational training of your choice - $1000 per year – 2 years maximum. Grants are available to any American Citizen residing in California or Hawaii. No high school diploma required. Graduating high school seniors may apply.
