Recently, Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted its 3rd annual Member Appreciation BBQ at the chamber office. Janet Epstein, Immediate Pass Chair of the Board, welcomed everyone to the luncheon by saying, "Enjoy yourselves and thank you very much for your membership in the Chamber of Commerce.” Beverly Dulaney, Office Manager, also recognized Julie Reyes of Waste Management for sponsoring the event as well as acknowledging Dr. Sandra Mayo, Vice Chairman of the Board and President of Moreno Valley College. Many members dressed casually for the event, trading their business attire for Hawaiian shirts and company logo T-shirts. John Miechowicz Jr. of All Solutions Insurance Agency was the grill-master for the event. “I enjoy cooking and I cook everywhere I go. It is a great social event, people are drawn to the grill or kitchen.” And for desert, Steve Gneckow provided the shaved ice from his Kona Ice mobile. Chamber Ambassadors Alexia Nevens and Duane Swafford were on hand to meet and greet members. “Ambassadors are volunteers that serve on committees within the chamber membership that help set up events and meet with new businesses and serve as mentors,” explained Swafford. Dulaney said of the event, “ It is our way of saying 'thanks' to our members. It gives them an opportunity to network and make connections during a casual event.”
