The City of Moreno Valley is holding its Third Annual "Sweet Paws" Valentine's Day Pet Adoption promotion on Wednesday, Feb. 11 and Thursday, Feb. 12 at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter. This two-day pet promotion will last from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pet adoption events continue to be a priority in Moreno Valley as they place wonderful companion animals in life-long loving homes. Special discounted adoption rates apply both days. Dogs and puppies will be available for $50, while cats and kittens will be available for $15. These adoption prices include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, and a HomeAgain microchip. Adopted pets are scheduled for spay or neuter surgery the next business day following the adoption. The spay and neuter surgery is made possible by a grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, awarded to the Animal Shelter for its successful life-saving efforts during the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. "This pet promotion event gives us an opportunity to encourage people to provide a loving, caring home for companion animals that need someone to care for them," says Steve Fries, Moreno Valley's Animal Services Division Manager. "Shelter pets offer unconditional love and companionship for many years. What better way to express your love than with a new companion pet on Valentine's Day?" For more information about this on-site pet adoption promotion, contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790 or visit the city's web site at www.moval.org and click on "Animal Shelter." Adoption Gift Certificates are also available at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, which is located at 14041 Elsworth St.
