MORENO VALLEY >> Hundreds of young women athletes from Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD) and other Inland Empire school districts came together this week for a morning of mutual support and inspiration at the Sixth Annual Women in Sports Conference. Scholar/athletes heard from successful women who were also athletes in school, including former Olympic volleyball player PaulaWeishoff and UC Riverside athletic director Dr. Tamika Smith Jones. And serving as emcee for the entire event was our own Superintendent Dr. Judy D. White, who played softball, ran track and was involved with cheer in her school days.
