Thousands of Residents Participate in Mayor's Telephone Town Hall

Thousands of Moreno Valley residents listened in to the City’s second Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday to hear updates on current City projects and plans for the future.

Using a talk-radio format, the Telephone Town Hall allows residents to listen in to the meeting without actually having to come to City Hall. Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez fielded questions during the hour long call with topics ranging from the City’s plans to address homelessness and street repair to the possibility of a new town center off the Nason Corridor and opportunities for residents to further their education right here in Moreno Valley.

The City called registered participants who had the option of listening to the entire call or to just a portion. Participants could also ask the Mayor questions or share their comments or concerns.

Residents whose questions were not able to be answered before the call ended had the opportunity to leave a voicemail with their question and contact information. City staff is following up with those residents to answer their questions.
