Creekside Elementary School recently hosted its annual “Lunch on the Lawn” event that brings families to the campus to enjoy lunch and play lawn games together. Creekside hosted an estimated 320 parents for the event this year.
Events like this lunch help support the school’s motto “Creekside Cubs Climb to Success.” The idea is for parents to feel welcomed to campus and build networks and friendships among the other parents to create a stronger parent network both at school and outside in the school’s community.
The event helps students and parents feel more closely connected to each other and the school. “It really is a beautiful experience and one of which I am proud of as the Principal of Creekside. It truly helps make school a fun and joyful place to be,” Creekside Principal Nadakia Neal said.
