MORENO VALLEY>> Explaining that the perfect candidate was right in front of them, the Moreno Valley Unified School Board, at its regular meeting, Jan. 17, unanimously appointed Dr. Martinrex Kedziora, currently the district’s Chief Academic Officer, to become superintendent. Kedziora will take over Wednesday, Feb. 1 from Superintendent Dr. Judy D. White, who is leaving after six years to serve as Riverside County Superintendent of Schools. “Dr. Kedziora is part of the highly effective team Dr. White hired when she became superintendent, and he has been instrumental in working with the School Board and her to improve student academic achievement,” said School Board President Cleveland Johnson. “Dr. Kedziora is innovative, dedicated and tireless in his advocacy for students and the Board and I believe that with him as superintendent, we can continue the upward spiral of success we’ve created.” During his 35-year career in education, Kedziora has worked for a number of school districts in a variety of roles. He served as a teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels, as vice principal, principal, special-education coordinator, and director of professional development and middle-grades curriculum and instruction. “I deeply appreciate the trust and support of the School Board,” Kedziora said. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to have served with and learned from Dr. White.”
